Featured Heritage Outcrosses For Sale By Other Breeders
Before the formation of the Tennessee Walking Horse Heritage Society in 2003, and its subsequent definition of what marks a Heritage Walking Horse in our Society, all of the Heritage breeders had crossed some of their mares with stallions that were popular in their respective areas of Tennessee, or in some cases, within the larger breed group. Although none of the stud colts were retained for breeding purposes, a number of the mares proved to be excellent producers of quality pleasure stock, and are still used within the broodmare bands of the farms where they were foaled. Since the foals of these mares can never be established as Heritage Walking Horses due to their modern bloodlines, their offspring are being offered on this page as Heritage Outcrosses. These foals and mature horses are blessed with the nice walking gaits and gentle dispositions of their Heritage parent, but their bloodlines are not as unique, as they are found more readily throughout the Tennessee Walking Horse breed.
As a service to other Heritage breeders, the Heritage Society has developed this page so they can advertise their Outcross horses.

Wind Shadow’s Cadence
"WIND SHADOWS CADENCE (AKA Chime) $3000: Capture these bloodlines from the past. This wise investment comes with conformation, personality, gait, pedigree and the 'hair gene'. We are proud of our 'Larry daughters', but since finding our new stallion, we've had to look in a different direction and will breed our Reggie daughters back to "Red". Chime is current on her vaccinations, including WNV. She is easy to trim, has been on a rotational worming program and had her teeth done this spring by our veterinarian that specializes in equine dentistry.
Chime is by Go Boy's Windwalker; http://batesgaitedhorses.com/Stallions.htm. Chime turns two years old on June 9th. It is a privilege to have offspring of this stallion and to have had the honor to ride Larry. Go Boy's Windwalker was born in 1982. There will be very few mares to add to your breeding program with these bloodlines. Chime is out of Chant, a lovely 16 hand bay mare with Pusher on the top side and Ebony Senator on the bottom. Here's a video of Chant, her dam, on YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HEKhUPpBRA Training may be available prior to shipping so please ask for contact information for our trainer."

POKEY'S BONNIE 20208443

This young chestnut daughter of Most Stock Farm's late Pokey Possum blends the double lines to
Midnight Mack K. from her sire with the show lines of Senator's Moonraker by Ebony's Senator and Triple Threat. She is a gentle mare that anyone can manage. On the left is Missy’s Perfect Angel #962487. She is a well broke saddle mare who came from Michigan. She’s been in the ring in the Upper Pennisula. On the right is Thunder's Midnight Domino, a Heritage Outcross filly born in 2005. She stands between 14.2 to 14.3 hands. Sired by Northwoods Thunder Walker, this is the foal I rescued from a mud puddle shortly after her birth in 2005 and we have a bond ever since. I had her broke at 3 and have ridden her. He trail rode her during training and crossed water and met 4-wheelers without incident. I am asking $2500.00 for "Flag". Contact John O'Brien in Oronoco, Minnesota at jfobrien@myclearwave.net.
